Boards & Commissions
Boards, Committees, and Commissions meet bimonthly, monthly, quarterly, or on an as-needed basis, to discuss issues and forward certain items to the Common Council for approval. If you are interested in serving on one of the Boards, Committees or Commissions, please complete a Committee Volunteer Application Form (PDF).
Standing Committees are made up of Aldermen. They include Finance, License, and Regulation Committee, Personnel Committee, Piers, Harbors, and Lakefront Committee, and Public Works Committee. Other Committees are made up of citizens appointed by the Mayor with an alderman serving as a representative.

Board of Park Commissioners
The Board of Park Commissioners shall advise the Council on all matters pertaining to parks, recreation and forestry.

Public Works Committee
The Public Works shall be responsible for activities taking place on public property, rights-of-way, and easements.
The Tourism Commission shall be responsible for the coordination of tourism promotion and tourism development within the City and for ensuring that all room tax dollars it receives from the City, per State Statutes, is spent on tourism promotion and development.
